Blind

By Vivi Zhang

Shadows

Shadows creeping out of the dusk, but no one sees

And when I try so hard to shout

My existence, no one hears

The tears, the sound of broken hearts

It gets lonely as I fall apart

They said I’d have nothing to worry

They said I won’t be sad forever

But I can’t help my vision turning blurry

Cause I know it won’t get any better

What do you think you are

Laughing as I drown in pain

How are you blind to my scars

The blood dripping out of my veins

You say you’ll change your ways

But you never give me a chance

You say it’s not too late

When you leave me standing in the rain

So don’t feel sorry for me

When you just don’t mean it at all

Hidden through the crowds

Small and stuck in my own world

Of silly dreams

And they stare and laugh real proud

As they mock my desperate screams

They said I’d have nothing to worry

They said I’d never feel alone

But I can’t help my vision getting blurry

As my heart gives in and freezes into stone

What do you think you are

Laughing as I drown in pain

How are you blind to my scars

The blood dripping out of my veins

You say you’ll change your ways

But you never give me a chance

You say it’s not too late

When you leave me standing in the rain

So don’t feel sorry for me

When you just don’t mean it at all

No it won’t get any better

The wounds, they’re sealed in so deep

And when I try to get out of the stormy weather

I cry at night in my sleep

What do you think you are

Laughing as I drown in pain

How are you blind to my scars

The blood dripping out of my veins

You say you’ll change your ways

But you never give me a chance

You say it’s not too late

When you leave me standing in the rain

So don’t feel sorry for me

When you just don’t mean it at all

What do you think you are

Laughing as I drown in pain

How are you blind to my scars

The blood dripping out of my veins

You say you’ll change your ways

But you never give me a chance

You say it’s not too late

When you leave me standing in the rain

So don’t feel sorry for me

When you just don’t mean it at all
