I shift from Street Jargon

To Proper Diction

 

Manufactured class

When all they have to do

Is ask who I am

And what I’ve been through

 

Personal history

Should be the currency

We judge character on

Because the money

Is a physical façade

For the emotional burdens

We place in our hearts
