Untitled Poem

By John Michael Mastrogiacomo

That's right I was thinking about love

What is it

It's what people tell each other so they don't feel so alone

I'm lonely

So lonely

You live in your own world

No one can come in

It's scary

Being so alone

Oh right I'm alone

"Hello"

I tried to call out

A soft hum came out

I was humming again

I really don't like that song

Barred down by family

I never liked the feeling

Knowing that someone else suited you better than myself

I had dedicated so much time and effort to making myself better for you

Therapy and medicine I thought that they'd help

But no, they have longed stop aiding me

Because I'll never be good enough

I'm alone.
